By Kayhan Life Staff: Iran’s truck drivers have entered the eighth day of their nationwide strike, demanding better working conditions and protesting economic hardships. The movement, which began on May 18, has spread to over 130 cities with drivers halting operations to voice their frustrations over rising fuel costs, inadequate wages, and government policies that have exacerbated their struggles.
Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi, in an interview with Maria Bartiromo, urged Iranians worldwide to support the striking workers and ensure their voices are heard. He emphasized that the protesters are not seeking external aid but are fighting for their fundamental rights and dignity. He called on the Iranian diaspora to continue informing media and policymakers about the movement.

Asghar Sepehri, the brother of political prisoners Fatemeh and Mohammad Hossein Sepehri, publicly expressed his family’s solidarity with the truck drivers, stating that their struggle represents the broader fight against oppression, corruption, and economic hardship in Iran.
The strike has drawn attention from international observers, with some experts suggesting that external support could amplify its impact. The movement has the potential to disrupt key sectors and pressure the Iranian government to address longstanding grievances.
