Chef Zachary Newman (@cheffinwithzach on Instagram) prepares a fusion of Italian and Persian recipes.
- Add 1 lb of ground beef
- Add 3 cloves of grated garlic
- Add 1/2 cup of tomato paste
- Add pinch of salt & pepper
- Add 1/2 tsp of turmeric and oregano
- Add 1 tbsp of chili powder
- Add 2 chopped Roma tomatoes
- Cover and simmer mixture for 20 minutes
- Cook spaghetti for 3 minutes – al dente
- Add spaghetti to meat mixture
- Add to a pot with a greased bottom
- Invert pot over a plate for a crispy tahdig
