INGREDIENTS

  • serves 4-6
  • RICE + TAHDIG
  • lentils (semi-cooked) 1.5 cups
  • basmati rice (my preferred brand is ROYAL) 2.5 cups
  • water 5 cups
  • boiled water ½ cup
  • yellow onion 1 extra-large & extra firm
  • gluten-free flour 2 tbsp
  • egg white  5 tbsp

  • salt 4 tbsp
  • Persian saffron 2 tsp
  • grapeseed oil 3 tbsp

TOPPING

  • red onion 1 medium
  • zante currant raisins 1 ½ cup
  • Medjool dates  12 pieces (pitted & sliced)
  • grapeseed oil 1 tbsp
