For the first time, more than 150 universities in the US, Canada, Europe, Asia, and Australia are planning a ‘Rally for Iran’ on Nov. 30 to show solidarity with the Iranian people and the nationwide uprising sparked by the death on Sept. 16 of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini.
Amini was arrested by the morality police for allegedly breaching Iran’s strict mandatory hijab laws. She died while in custody.
The global university event has been organized and coordinated by Iranian Scholars for Liberty. It is aimed at getting the Iranian diaspora to amplify the voice of the people of Iran as they protest against the Islamic Republic shouting the slogan: #WomanLifeFreedom.
You can find the time and location of the rallies by typing #CampusRallyforIran in Instagram’s search window.
