UK Lawmakers Press Government on Reports of Russian Arms Flights to Iran and Gold Shipments Out

By Kayhan Life staff

In the UK House of Commons, Tom Tugendhat, the Conservative MP for Tonbridge and Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee, asked Hamish Falconer, the Labour MP for Lincoln and Minister for the Middle East and North Africa, to respond to reports that Russian cargo aircraft have recently landed in Iran carrying ammunition, while separate flights have departed the country with large quantities of gold.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Tugendhat questioned whether the reported movements suggest the Iranian regime is preparing to intensify its military posture or considering an exit strategy.
