“Torshi or Turshi are pickled turnips with a little bit of beets for that bright purple color. They are actually very easy to make and fun to do with the whole family. Our girls love these so much they go through a jar each sitting. No need to buy these from the store anymore. Just make them yourself!” – Ara Zada
Ingredients:
- 2 turnips
- 1 beet
- 3 cups water
- 1 cup vinegar
- 1/3 cup salt
- 3 cloves garlic
Directions:
Cut vegetables into matchsticks and add to jars.
Boil brine add to jars. Store in cool dark place for 3-5 days then refrigerate.
