A man dressed as a woman and wearing makeup snuck into the girls’ dormitory at the Urmia University of Technology, in the northwestern province of Azerbaijan, one night to meet his girlfriend.
The pair reportedly spent two hours together before being discovered by the dorm supervisor. The young man threatened the supervisor with a knife before fleeing the university campus with his girlfriend.
He is reportedly from the northern region of Iran, and his girlfriend was born in Hamadan, capital of the northwestern province of Hamadan.
The university’s board of trustees issued a statement calling for an investigation into the incident.
