Lotfi, who interviewed Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi after the Revolution, has passed away in Paris.
Throughout his life, Morteza Lotfi served his country without fear. He used the power of words and truth to fight the extremism of the Islamic Republic and defend the values of freedom, secularism and human rights.
His courage in the face of adversity and his unwavering commitment to the principles of democracy inspired countless people and set a standard of integrity in journalism.
The void left by his departure will be deeply felt, but his legacy of truth, resilience, and love for his country will live on in the hearts of patriots and those who continue his fight.
