WASHINGTON, July 18 (Reuters) – U.S. President Joe Biden and Israeli President Chaim Herzog, at a meeting on Tuesday, discussed enhancing cooperation to prevent Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon and Tehran’s growing defense ties with Russia, the White House said.
Biden and Herzog also discussed “the need for a consensus-based approach” to a judicial reform package proposed by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the White House said in a statement.
