Kayhan London-According to a report by the U.S. Naval Forces Central Command, Iran stopped its “deliberate, unsafe, unprofessional and provocative actions” in the Persian Gulf in August 2017.

“The last time that the Iranian Navy had harassed the U.S. forces in the Persian Gulf was in August of 2017 when a QOM-1 unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) buzzed the USS Nimitz aircraft carrier,” Business Insider, a news website, reported, quoting the spokesman for the 5th Fleet Lieutenant Chloe Morgan.

Yet the Iranian military has reportedly increased its UAV and rotorcraft- quadcopter operations in the vicinity of U.S. aircraft carriers in the Persian Gulf in recent months.

“These activities don’t impact our naval operations in the region,” Lt. Morgan said on October 15.
