By Kayhan Life Staff The Iranian State’s Intelligence Minister Esmaeil Khatib, said that the regime had detained spies from England, France and Sweden, and that some foreign prisoners had been sentenced to death, according to an Aug. 20 report by semi-official news outlet Tasnim.

The announcement was then abruptly withdrawn. Khatib said the statements had been published in error and had referred to past cases.
