In many parts of the world, there is a major stigma around mental health. Individuals are often afraid to discuss their psychological issues, and embarrassed to seek therapy or psychiatric care.
The British-Iranian actor and activist Nazanin Boniadi has decided to support the work of the Mental Health Coalition — a network connecting the U.S.’s leading mental health organizations with advocates, celebrities, academics, opinion makers, and media platforms. The Coalition was launched last month by the fashion designer and philanthropist Kenneth Cole, and aims to “come together to promote acceptance, inspire hope and destigmatize mental health conditions.”
Ms. Boniadi is an advocate of the Mental Health Coalition. She is supported in her efforts by the Iranian-American Hollywood actress Shohreh Aghdashloo.
The following video is a message from Ms. Aghdashloo to readers and followers of Kayhan Life.
