Our Identity, Solidarity, and National Resolve Throughout History

Norooz Charity Foundation is a U.S.-based non-profit public charity organization run mainly by volunteers and dedicated to helping Iranian asylum seekers. Since its establishment in North Carolina in 2004, the organization has broadened its mission to help people worldwide, including from Iraq, Jordan, Turkey, Pakistan, and India.

The foundation has helped victims of earthquakes in Iran and implemented clean water projects in the province of Khuzestan in the south and Sistan and Baluchestan in the southeast. It has also provided food, clothes, medicine, and medical care to women in disadvantaged regions of the country. The foundation primarily helps single mothers and children who live in the most impoverished and challenging conditions.

The foundation has helped Yazidis during the occupation of northern Iraq by the Islamic State (ISIS) forces. It also helps Iranian and Afghan asylum seekers around the world. Many asylum applicants are registered with the United Nations High Commissioner of Refugees (UNCHR) and other international organizations concerned with the plight of Iranian asylum seekers. The foundation also helps those whose asylum applications have been denied, delayed, or are undergoing appeal.

To mark the birthday of Shahbanou Farah Pahlavi on Oct. 14, Norooz Charity Foundation provided water, for the ninth time, to villages in the impoverished province of Khuzestan.

With your help, the foundation can remain a source of hope and support to Iranians inside and outside the country.
