The secret 25-year military, energy and trade agreement between the Islamic Republic of Iran & China, authorised by Ali Khamenei has triggered resentment among the Iranian public and social media activists. They fear the pact will result in Iran’s total economic and strategic dependency on China. The agreement must be ratified by the Majles before it is enacted.
