Yalda Night, celebrated on December 20, 2024, is a significant occasion that symbolizes the victory of light over darkness and is culturally important for communities across Iran, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, and Armenia. Recognized by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage, Yalda embodies rich traditions and customs.

Kayhan Life chose the theme “Phoenix Rising” for its Yalda celebration this year. In Persian mythology and literature, particularly highlighted in Ferdowsi’s Shahnameh and Attar’s Conference of the Birds, the Phoenix represents wisdom and renewal, symbolizing the connection between the celestial and earthly realms.

Notable figures from the Iranian artistic and cultural scene, such as Gola, Pantea Modiri, Sepp Osley, Hamid Saeidi, Leila Pari, Sepehr Haddad, Darvishi, Hossein Hadisi, Juliag, Josephine, Arghavan Aghideh, Dr. Jila Dana Haeri, and Professor Emeritus Tajalli Keshavarz, have come together this year to honor Yalda 2024.
