July 18 – An overnight military operation by the United States which targeted the Islamic Republic of Iran’s nuclear sites, destroyed one of three uranium enrichment plants, according to a new report commissioned by the U.S. government.
The attacks took place during a 12-day war between Israel and the Islamic Republic last month, after the theocratic regime refused to stop its enrichment of the nuclear material.
The strikes were part of a larger plan to target additional nuclear facilities but the operation – estimated to last several weeks – was rejected by U.S. President Donald Trump, according to a report by NBC news.
Masoud Pezeshkian, the President of the Islamic Republic, was allegedly injured during the Israeli attack on the Islamic Republic, according to a report by the Islamic Republic state Fars news agency.
The attack targeted a secret underground facility in Tehran where Pezeshkian had been attending an emergency meeting held by the Supreme National Security Council, the news agency said.
Pezeshkian sustained a minor injury to one of his legs, and escaped through an emergency shaft during the attack.
And complaints were raised by Scottish lawmakers after a cleric dubbed the Islamic Republic’s “propagandist-in-chief,” was invited to speak at a Scottish mosque.
Seyed Hashem Moosavi, the UK representative of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei the theocratic regime’s leader, was invited to be a guest speaker at the al-Mahdi Islamic Centre in Glasgow, Scotland, which has links to the regime.
Moosavi is also a director of the Islamic Centre of England in London which is currently under investigation by the UK Charity Commission for its activities. The centre is undergoing a statutory inquiry, the most serious form of investigation carried out by the Charity Commission.
