The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has launched a campaign entitled “For Iran” to persuade citizens to volunteer and join the military effort to fight the U.S.-Israeli offensive launched against the Islamic Republic a month ago.

The campaign aims to recruit volunteers for a wide range of activities, including intelligence gathering and operational patrols, staffing Basij checkpoints, providing logistics and support, organizing “Epic Caravans,” preparing meals for military personnel, tending to war casualties, and providing assistance to houses damaged during the conflict.

The call for volunteers comes at a time when the Islamic Republic is suffering an acute personnel shortage because of heavy casualties, desertions, and resignations — making it necessary to call for additional support for the war effort. The campaign extends to adolescents as young as 12 and 13, encouraging them to register as volunteers.

Official sources in the Islamic Republic are yet to release comprehensive figures on casualties among the military and law enforcement in the month since the offensive began. However, early estimates indicate that between 4,000 and 5,000 members of the IRGC, Basij, army, police, and intelligence forces have been killed across the country.

Initially, news of the deaths of most senior commanders of Iran’s armed forces was withheld. However, the identities of the assassinated commanders became became apparent a few days later during the public funeral ceremonies held in their honor.
