WASHINGTON, June 9 (Reuters) – U.S. President Donald Trump said Tehran was a tough negotiator as talks continued for a nuclear deal, and said he discussed Iran among other topics with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday.

“We’re doing a lot of work on Iran right now,” Trump said at an economic event at the White House. “It’s tough … They’re great negotiators.”

Netanyahu said he spoke with Trump and the president told him talks would continue at the end of the week, a statement from the Israeli prime minister’s office said.
